Care Quality Commissioning (CQC) monitor, inspect and regulate health and social care services and publish what they find with a rating to help people choose the right care setting.
They make inspection visits to service providers, such as GP surgeries in order to talk to staff and people who use these services. Site visits also mean they can observe care and to look at records to see how needs are managed.
