The Reception team provide an important link for patients with the Surgery and are your initial contact for general enquiries. They can provide information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses and can have a difficult job to do, with telephone calls and enquiries from every direction.
When telephoning for medical attention, the Receptionist will ask you for a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way.
Receptionists also perform other important tasks, such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription queries, dealing with patient records, audits and general administration duties.
The Midwife is responsible for nursing care in pregnancy and childbirth. She holds regular ante-natal clinics at the practice.
The District Nurses provide a wide range of services for patients at home who are unfit to attend the surgery.
Please make contact via their hub on 0300 777 0002.
The Health Visitors provide health advice for parents of children (under 5 years).
