As well as being experienced in normal nursing duties and all aspects of chronic illness such as asthma and diabetes, our Nurse Practitioner is trained to diagnose and treat all minor illness and injuries.  If you are book an urgent appointment, you may be directed to our Nurse Practitioner.  Initially this will be a telephone consultation, however, if clinically needed, you will be booked an appropriate face to face appointment.

Medication Reviews:

As your GP surgery, we play a significant role in managing your long-term condition.  We believe in working with you and specialists in the community to provide holistic, personal and high-quality care.

Long-term conditions or chronic diseases are conditions for which there is currently no cure, and they are managed with drugs and other treatments.

All patients with a long-term condition should have an annual review.

Our Practice Nurses carry out reviews:

• Diabetes - initally a 20 minute face to face appointment with a HCA for bloods, blood pressure, urine, weight and foot pulse check, then a 20 minute telephone consultation with a Practice Nurse.
• Astham - a 20 minute telephone consultation with a Practice Nurse, a health questionnaire will be sent out via SMS beforehand where possible.
• COPD - a 15 minute telephone consultation with a Practice Nurse, a health questionnaire will be sent out via SMS beforehand where possible.

If you would prefer to have your medication review face to face in surgery, please mention this to Reception when booking.

Appointments can be booked up to 28 days in advance.

If you are unable to keep an appointment, you can cancel online via SystmOnline, via the Receptionist or via email, this appointment can then be offered to someone else.
