Noticeboard

Wootton Medical Centre is currently closed to new patients due to maintaining current patient services and managing an ever increasing workload.  This is for a temporary basis and we will update our New Patients section when our situation changes.

The only number to contact the surgery is 01604 709922, any previous numbers are no longer in use.

We are offering DoctorLink at the surgery, please see below and section - Appointments & Clinics - for more details.  You may be directed to this when asking for an on the day appointment.

In November, 67 patients failed to attend or cancel their appointment at Wootton Medical Centre, please help us to help you by cancelling if you no longer need this appointment as these can then be offered to another patient.  See Appointments & Clinics section for more details.

Nurses

Nurse Claire Kearney (f)

Claire is an experienced Practice Nurse who has an interest in diabetes, asthma & COPD management, offering appointments on a Monday, Wednesday & Thursday with ad hoc Fridays.

Nurse Gemma Bannister (f)

Practice Nurse Gemma completed a prescribing course in 2018 and is now undertaking a minor illness and injury course.  Gemma sees patients for cytology screening, travel and seasonal immunisations, wound care and minor injury assessment, offering appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays (evenings only), Thursdays (mornings only) and Fridays.

Healthcare Assistants

Mrs Julie Lear (f)

Julie is our Health Care Assistant, she carries out blood tests Monday to Friday in the morning, and NHS Health Checks, ear syringing, blood pressures, smoking cessation and dressings on a Wednesday afternoon / evening (once a month) and every Thursday afternoon.

Phlebotomists

Mrs Lorraine Connor (f)

Lorraine works as a Receptionist predominantly but has recently qualified as a phlebotomist cover bloods on a Friday and ad hoc clinics when needed.
