Pancreatic Cancer

Ovarian Cancer

Every year, around 7,500 women in the UK are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. That’s approximately 20 women a day. We know that early diagnosis can save lives, so it’s vital to know the symptoms. Do you know the symptoms of ovarian cancer? March is Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month this year we are supporting all our patients to learn the symptoms of ovarian cancer:

· Bloated tummy

· Needing to wee more

· Tummy pain

· Always feeling full

Women of all ages can develop ovarian cancer, but it is more common in women aged 50 or over.

To find out more about ovarian cancer symptoms, pop into the practice to pick up a leaflet.

If you’ve had any of these symptoms for 4 weeks or more and they are new for you, contact your local registered GP surgery to make an appointment.

Target Ovarian Cancer’s Support line is staffed by gynaeoncology specialist nurses. They are available to support patients living with a diagnosis of ovarian cancer, women worried about symptoms and women undergoing diagnostic tests for possible ovarian cancer.

Opening times: Monday to Friday, 9-5pm (email outside of opening hours)
