For Northampton General Hospital (NGH), patients with new pregnancies should self-refer using their new online form – Maternity Referral.
The Pregnancy Referral Service at NGH are midwives that triage all new pregnancy referrals using the answers from the online form, about obstetric and medical history. Patients are then allocated a booking appointment based upon clinical need as opposed to last menstrual period date alone.
