Teenage years are often the best years of your life, no longer a child but not yet an adult! Whilst you might have one, having a job is not essential, your responsibilities are likely few, school holidays give you quite a lot of free time to develop hobbies, try different things and make new friends etc.
With all this in mind, your teenage years can also be quite a challenging time. Juggling schoolwork, friendships and relationships, hormones and puberty and the pressure of making choices that potentially could affect the rest of your life. Physically and emotionally, everything is changing and you are driven into some of the most intense situations of your young adult life where you will encounter heartbreak, peer pressure, low self-esteem and anxiety.
Sometimes it is difficult to talk to someone close to you or to know where to get the advice and support you need. Sometimes you just need information and advice, below is a list of resources you might need throughout your adolescent years, but please do remember, as a surgery, we are here for you.

Young carers
Are you a young carer?
A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. Being an unpaid carer can have an effect on your own health and well-being and can also lead to social isolation.
Let us know that you are a carer so we can support you. You can also find out more by contacting the surgery and asking to speak to our Carer’s Champion Jill Gore.
