Claire is an experienced Practice Nurse who sees patients for diabetes, asthma, copd & childhood immunisations offering appointments on a Monday, Wednesday & Thursday.

GEMMA BANNISTER

Practice Nurse Gemma completed a prescribing course in 2018 and is now undertaking a minor illness and injury diploma. Gemma sees patients for diabetes, asthma, minor illness & injury, cytology screening, travel and seasonal immunisations and wound care offering appointments on Tuesdays, Wednesdays (evenings only), Thursdays (mornings only) and Fridays.

Healthcare Assistants

Julie focuses on blood tests, NHS Health Checks, blood pressures, ECGs, suture removal & dressings offering appointments Monday to Wednesday mornings & all day Thursday.

Phlebotomists

Lorraine works as a Receptionist predominantly but has recently qualified as a phlebotomist cover bloods on a Friday morning and ad hoc clinics when needed.

Along with her team, Sharon Bailey is always happy to help with any problems you may have, or with any suggestions that may improve our service to you. Reception

The Reception team provide an important link for patients with the surgery and are your initial contact for general enquiries. They can provide information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most patient appointments with the GPs and Nurses and can have a difficult job to do, with telephone calls and enquiries from every direction. When telephoning for medical attention, the Receptionist will ask you for a few details. They have been trained to make these enquiries so that we can help you in the most appropriate way. Receptionists also perform other important tasks, such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription queries, dealing with patient records, audits and general administration duties. The team comprises of Jackie (Reception Supervisor) - Tracey (Senior Receptionist) - Lorraine - Rachel - Debbie - Wendy - Jill - Annabel (Junior Receptionist) & Iulia (Data Clerk).

Community Midwives

The Midwife is responsible for nursing care in pregnancy and childbirth. She holds regular ante-natal clinics at the practice.

Community Nurses

The District Nurses are no longer based in surgery. The Community Nurses provide a wide range of services for patients at home who are unfit to attend the surgery. Please contact them directly via their hub on 0300 777 0002.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors provide health advice for parents of children (under 5 years). Please contact the team via their hub on 0300 111 1022.
